Spinach at it's Worst!

About 2 years ago I had a bad experience with spinach that's right spinach every kid in the U.S. and teenager worst nightmare. I was just beginning to adapt to life as a teenager entering high school as a freshman in the month of August.  I rode the bus over a close friend of mines house each and every day after school because I did not live in my school district so the bus did not go to my house. My friend mother would cook us a nice healthy meal every day after school. Some days we would have baked fish, baked pork chops, and chicken anything baked nothing fried. We would also have our vegetables along the side lightly seasoned with water to drink. I was exposed to something completely different by eating healthy everyday because I am used to eating fast food and fried foods everyday due to my parents working all the time so I always went out to restaurants to eat. Like most teenagers I always thought that vegetables were disgusting. One day my friend mother cooked a meal that consisted of baked chicken topped with spinach and a white alfredo sauce. I vomited at the idea of eating spinach I always heard that it tasted like grass, I always thought that it was grass. After eating it I fell in love with spinach and all the nutrients that came along with it. After that, my friend and his mother moved to another state so I never got the chance to eat the dish again. I gave the recipe to my mother but she never used it, every since that day every time I go to a restaurant I try and find a similar dish that consists of spinach but I can never find any until recently. Christmas in the year of 2010 I attended I Christmas party with my mother at her job. There was so much food I got full just by glancing at it all, thinking of what I was going to dig into first. My eyes brightened with excitement as I gasped at a dish with spinach that looked similar to the dish my friend mother made me a few years ago that I had been dreaming about. The only difference is that the meat was lamb chops instead of baked chicken. I quickly fixed me a plate, in the middle of eating my spinach and lamb chops, I saw a baby cockroach in the spinach, I vomited everywhere. That particular experience has ruined me for the rest of my life when it comes to spinach. Whenever I see spinach on the menu or at a gathering I look in the completely opposite direction. Hopefully sometime in the future that will change.

5 Star Experience... SHOUT!!!

Recently I experienced dining at a five star restaurant in Midtown, Atlanta which is named Shout. The restaurant was very elegant in decorum so I instantly knew that I was going to get spectacular and tasteful ingredients in my food and great quality with my meal along with my service overall.
From the picture to the prices everything was over the top in other words looked or was expensive. I decided to stick with something more relaxed and simple so I ordered sushi (shrimp tempura rolls)

-Fried Shrimp (U.S. Louisiana or Texas)
-All purpose flour (Malaysia)
-Egg (chicken farm in the U.S)
-Ice cold water (earth)
-Cooking oil (Kroger)
-Nori (South Korea)
-Sushi rice (Asia)
-Soy Sauce (Japan, Kroger)

After doing research on my ingredients I'm not quite sure if they are top quality or not most of them are international but the food definitely was presented in a well manner and the taste was explicit and so was the service.
